Tips for Staying Consistent Through the Summer

Staying consistent with your fitness and health routine during the summer can be challenging due to vacations, social events, and the temptation to indulge in unhealthy foods. However, with the right strategies and mindset, you can maintain your routine and make progress towards your goals. Here are some tips to help you stay consistent during the summer:

  1. Set specific goals: Define clear and achievable fitness and health goals for the summer. Whether it's losing inches, improving strength, or maintaining what you’ve worked so hard for, having specific goals will give you a sense of purpose and motivation.

  2. Create a schedule: Plan your workouts and meals in advance. Schedule your exercise sessions like you would any other appointment and prioritize them. Stock up on nutritious snacks like fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds. To have on hand for both you and the kids! Pre-cut your veggies or fruit so it's easy to have a quick, healthy snack.

Make double of whatever you're cooking for dinner so you can eat it for lunch the next day.  We know schedules can be off through the summer months so any way you can prep will help. Having healthy options readily available will prevent you from reaching for unhealthy choices when hunger strikes.
  3. Find enjoyable activities: Engage in physical activities that you genuinely enjoy. Summer offers a wide range of outdoor activities such as swimming, surfing, paddle boarding, or playing beach volleyball.
