About Coach

As a high school and collegiate golfer, I knew the importance of fitness, endurance, and mindset. After dabbling in marketing and public relations following college graduation, I knew the desk job life was not for me, and decided to follow my passion for health and wellness. I began my career as a Personal Trainer in 2010 and quickly realized after training one of my clients who was expecting that I craved *more* knowledge in the arena. There were 2 paragraphs total regarding working with pregnant women, and I knew there had to be more. Since then, I have continued my education in all areas of perinatal fitness and my passion is working with pregnant and postpartum women.

Turning Point

After sitting in daily traffic to get to and from my office job and then sitting all day behind a desk, I knew I wanted a change. I was passionate about health and wellness and decided to take a leap of faith, leaving my paid vacation, 401k, and health benefits behind to pay it forward and start working 1:1 with clients ready to make a change to find the healthiest version of themselves and have never looked back.

Motivation & Passion

I quickly realized there was not enough information given in the personal training certifications regarding pregnant and postpartum women. I started finding any certification I could get my hands on to expand my knowledge for both my clients as well as myself as I worked out throughout my pregnancy. In 2013 when my first son was born, I started working toward excellence in working with the postpartum athlete. Your body doesn't always feel 'ready' to go back to whatever it is you were doing prior to pregnancy, which is where I come in. Helping you navigate your postpartum journey with knowledge and guidance so you know when you need to modify, why you may need to modify, and when you are ready to progress so you can be stronger than you have ever been. Training during pregnancy and postpartum is not a one-size-fits-all approach - you deserve to be coached throughout this journey by a qualified expert in perinatal fitness, and I'm your girl for that!
